ALBUQUERQUE BRANCH NAACP-UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO
ABRAHAM LINCOLN MITCHELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
FALL 2009 AND SPRING 2010
The Albuquerque Branch, NAACP Abraham Lincoln Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Committee and UNM will award scholarships for post-secondary education designed to assist UNM students. Scholarships will be awarded for fall 2009 and spring 2010 terms to applicants who have completed at least a full year of undergraduate work at UNM and are planning to attend UNM during these semesters.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have completed freshman year of college
· Must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. from most recent course work
· Must plan to enroll to complete at least 12 credit hours and maintain a 3.0
Cumulative G.P.A.
· Must have a financial need for the scholarship
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
· Complete scholarship application
· Personal essay addressing
o Educational goals
o Career Objectives
o Community Involvement
o Extracurricular activities
· Two letters of recommendation (no relatives)
· Academic transcripts of most recent course work
